Redolence — Behind the Name
Journal Entry #5
Before Arvana Kay existed, there was Redolence Essentials Candle Company. Redolence was my first candle brand, my first commitment to creating something meaningful, and my first step into a vision I hadn’t fully articulated yet, but deeply believed in. Redolence was where I learned how to trust myself enough to begin.
The name itself has always meant something to me. Redolence speaks to what lingers and what remains. At the time, I didn’t realize how fitting that would be for the path I was on. Looking back, it feels almost prophetic.
That early season taught me discipline, patience, and resilience. It taught me how to create with intention, how to listen, and how to move forward even when everything wasn’t clear. Redolence represents the foundation that shaped everything that followed. Not something I outgrew, but something I carried with me as I evolved.
As my vision matured, Arvana Kay was born with greater clarity, refinement, and purpose. Reintroducing Redolence within this brand is not a return to the past, but a continuation of it. A full-circle moment that honors where I started while confidently embracing where I am now. It connects the heart of my beginnings with the depth of what I am building today.
This fragrance represents my journey in the industry. It reflects the quiet persistence, the risks taken without guarantees, and thehe belief that what you create with care will always hold weight, even as it grows and changes.
Redolence is legacy in motion.
